The Mesoamerica Cluster is an interdisciplinary initiative organized by the Institute for the Study of the Americas that allows undergraduate students to get an approach to the diverse range of cultures of the region known as Mesoamerica. Although mostly known for their history and ancient civilizations, some of these groups have managed to keep and adapt their traditions to current times.

This cluster program offers courses in Art, Archaeology, Linguistics and Literature of these cultures past and present, as well as activities that include travel to meet their spaces first-hand, and collections of specialized resources. This cluster is available to UNC undergraduate students starting Fall 2010.
